Essential Nanny Training Course

Welcome to the South Coast Nannies (SCN) Essential Nanny Training Course (ENTC)

This course is designed for Nannies who are just entering this field of work, are already working as Nannies or are mother’s or grandmothers with years of experience and essential ‘Life skills’ and looking to get back into the workforce. While you don’t need specific educational training to work as a Nanny, there are some minimum certifications you’ll need to hold.

    • Working with Children Check (WWCC) from the NSW Government Office of Children’s Guardian is a requirement for people who undertake paid work or volunteer work in child-related positions
    • Current First Aid and CPR View our list of local First Aid providers specialising in first aid training, health and safety.

SCN also requires Nannies to have:

    • An understanding of the importance of the care and education of children
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Current drivers’ licence and own car to get to and back from assignments
    • We also require all applicants be an Australian Resident or have their own Tax File Number (TFN)

We will require you to complete our Nanny Application Form. On this form you will need details of your First Aid, Working with Children Check number, Qualifications and further information on your career to date.

As part of the Candidate process, we also require 2 Work References and 2 Personal References. The next stage will be verifying information submitted in your application.  To quicken up the process you may wish to ask your References to call the office the day that you submit the Application.

Scope of the Business

Business can refer to a particular organization or to an entire market sector, e.g. “the music business”. Compound forms such as agribusiness represent subsets of the word’s broader meaning, which encompasses all activity by suppliers of goods and services. The goal is for sales to be more than expenditures resulting in a profit or gain or surplus.
