Kooka Kids Club Creche Co-Ordinator Working with families in the local community
Supporting childcare at Shoalhaven Defence Families (SDFA) – Kookaburra Retreat – Kooka Kids Club, whilst parents participate in activities – fitness, craft, training – at Kookaburra Retreat with the peace of mind that their child is only next door, being cared for by qualified Nannies.
As Kids Club Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for organising and implementing a fun, varied and stimulating weekly activity program for children 0-5 years, within a group setting / or on an individual basis, and will carry out any other reasonable duties, to ensure that the children are provided with educational experiences.

Hours and Days:
Monday 9.15am to 12.45pm 3.5 hours
Thursday 9.15am to 12.45pm 3.5 hours
Friday 9.15am to 12.45pm 3.5 hours

2 days 9.15am to 1.45pm 1st July 2021 and 9th July 2021
Employed by the Agency
Hourly Rate: $23.00 per hour + Super + Annual Leave
Employed by South Coast Nannies according to the Miscellaneous Award 2020 MA000104
School Term 3 From Monday 12 July 2021 to Friday 17 September 2021 (10 Weeks)
School Term 4 From Tuesday 5 October 2021 to Friday 17 December 2021 (10 ½ weeks)
Key Duties, Accountabilities And Responsibilities
- Ensure the overall safety and well-being of the children.
- Provide a caring, stimulating environment for the children.
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene on the premises.
- Keep parents up to date on their child’s progress.
- Ensure that the room is prepared and set out in readiness for the day.
- Provide and take part in all activities.
- Advise the Crèche Facilitator of any matter requiring their attention.
- Keep strictly confidential any personal information regarding the children, their families or others.
- Ensure that all policies are adhered to.
- Any other duties deemed reasonable.
Qualifications and Experience
Experience working in a Childcare Centre.
Certificate III in Children’s Services or Diploma of Children’s Services (Centre Based Care)
Working with Children Check (NSW)
Current First Aid Certificate / CPR
Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (preferable)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to build a rapport with parents and children.
Kooka Kids Club does NOT come under the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) however we implement some of these standards for the learning, development and care of children in our care.
Ability to follow instructions and/or work on own initiative, as necessary.
Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals.
Ability to implement high health and safety standards.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and create a healthy team environment.
Ability to respect and maintain open communication with colleagues.
Ability to establish positive relationships with children.
Ability to create a safe supportive and informative environment for families.
