Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat is the perfect and most unique all-in-one wedding venue where natural beauty and a relaxed environment are brought together to create the perfect secluded venue.

This is a unique venue with features that are not so child friendly, swimming pools, paths going to gardens, animals and wildlife.

With knowledge and experience, we tailor a package to suit the wedding couple, guests and families attending, we assist with the children at the ceremony, during the reception and provide supervision while guests enjoy the celebrations.

We help create happy memories for children and families attending. Children are often unaware that the day is not focused around them, and that parents need to have their time on the day. This is where our Agency can provide assistance and support. Our professional team of qualified and experienced Nannies ensure the children are happy and having a just as a good time as the adults!

Our services provide the wedding couple with the peaceful freedom to enjoy their day, without the potential for disruption which children can create when they are tired or restless.

As a Child Safe Organisation and accredited business, all Nannies have attended a site inspection of the venue, received training on wedding protocols, in order to create a safe and secure environment for children.

Nannies will supervise the children as they tend to wander off whilst their parents are socialising and get into mischief when their parents are distracted. Parents are able to put their child care and safety worries aside with the provision of our services. Children want to explore and play, if children wish to explore the property they will need to be accompanied by an adult. Nannies can take a group of children for a walk to view and explore the property.

Keeping children entertained can be difficult at the best of times, and with all the details needed to organise a wedding it is easy to overlook the younger guests. Children are often unaware that the day is not focused around them, and that parents need to have their own time on the day.

This is where our Nannies can provide assistance and support and make this experience memorable for them as well as creating individual child care options for the family.

A wedding day is often a very excitable day and can be overstimulating for the children who may be out of their regular routines. Often children either didn’t sleep well the night before in a new environment or travelled that day.

The Number of Nannies on each event is dependent on the number of children, their ages and the expectations of the children’s involvement by the couple. Our service ensures that Nannies are safely matched to the number of children and the ratios of Nanny to Child. This ratio is a combination of legislative standards and our experience of providing high quality care.

These services are not a sole charge position, rather an extra pair of hands to keep an eye on the children.

We assist with the children at the ceremony located at the Rock Cathedral, and provide supervision at the Sunset Deck. The Sunset Deck can be challenging for parents to     supervise their children whilst being involved in the canapés, as children don’t stay on the deck and tend to wander off to explore, coming dangerously close to the edge of the cliff.

At the Reception, our Nannies assist families by providing an extra pair of hands to supervise the children.

Our Activity Area Services are ideal at Kangaroo Valley Bush Retreat.

For children not seated at the Reception, this is a safe, convenient and fun child care minding option for children attending and is a more affordable option for the wedding couple.

Before guests move into the Reception, the children will transition to the Main Lodge for our Activity Area Services.

Children’s Meals are served by the Nannies and they will supervise dinner and ensure that all the children receive their correct meals and drinks, and ensure that they are having a fabulous time.

If the children are allowed to re-join the festivities our Nannies will co-ordinate the children to return to the Reception and provide supervision at the reception. We can facilitate the needs of sleepy children and can provide mattresses and fresh linen for sleeping children in the rooms. From our experience children under the age of 5 do not last the whole night and will require a place to watch a movie and fall asleep. Our Nannies will also supervise the sleeping children in the rooms.

For children seated at the Reception our Children’s Activity Tables can entertain the children when speeches are on and more importantly keep the children entertained, happy, quiet and occupied.

Our Nannies ensure that all the children receive their correct meals and drinks, supervise dinner. This minimises the potential for disruption which children can create when they are restless or tired.

Activity table services usually finish once the dancing begins and our Nannies will continue to supervise and engage the children through the night.

Families with children that are not walking have the flexibility of having their children participate in the celebrations whilst having the added benefit of having a Nanny accompany the children back to the Guest Houses so that they can enjoy the remainder of the Reception child-free.

Should your guests decide not to take their children to the wedding or reception, we can provide Babysitter Service offsite at their accommodation venue.
